HBAL'™s websites are the online source for accurate and useful information associated with the Home Builders Association of Louisville. We are proud to provide our Internet visitors with opportunities to educate themselves about our organization, it'™s goals and how it can benefit our members.

Throughout our site, we may need to gather data from our Internet visitors. We use various technologies to collect this information. The information is then stored in a secure database which is accessible only by select members of the HBAL staff and our Internet Service Provider.

HBAL collects data that has been provided by our visitors through various sections of its websites including: various applications for event participation, applications for joining various council groups, renewal applications, paying statements online, submitting information or requests through the various contact forms, etc. HBAL collects profile data through the registration process of the sections listed above and through voluntary actions of web visitors. Data collected includes demographic information, contact information and various preferences. This information helps us provide members with tailored e-mails based on indicated interests and preferences as well as to understand what other services our members and visitors might be interested in. Users may provide as much or as little information as they choose in fields that are not required. However, the omission of certain information may limit the value of the experience for the web visitor. Most of the information requested is required to receive the various services for the sections listed above. All required information fields are marked accordingly. Absolutely no information collected is shared with third parties.

HBAL provides reports internally for sales and marketing purposes. These reports include aggregate information about our users. The information in these reports is strictly used internally and no information contained in the reports is shared with outside companies.

HBAL uses cookies to save your personal information so you don't have to re-enter it each time you visit various sections of our site. Cookies are a standard internet technology that allow us to store and retrieve the login information on your system. Cookies, by themselves, cannot be used to determine the identity of any of our users.

In addition, when a web visitor comes to HBAL from certain other web sites, a cookie may be placed by a third party ad server that helps HBAL understand how new members come to our site. HBAL also protects user information off-line. All of our users' information is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job are granted passwords to access personally identifiable information. Furthermore, all employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices. HBAL is committed to protecting the privacy of our members and we will continue to review and implement new technologies as necessary to maintain the security of our networks and servers.
